Mad Catz Announces R.A.T. TE gaming mouse

Tournament Edition for PC and Mac

Mad Catz, known for its high quality and incredibly popular R.A.T. gaming mice, has announced a new version of the R.A.T. gaming mouse at CES 2014, the R.A.T. TE (Tournament Edition). Designed exclusively for professional and competitive gaming community the new R.A.T. TE will be available for PC and MAC and pack newly developed Phillips Doppler-laser sensor as well as some impressive features usually not seen on gaming mice.

According to Mad Catz, the new R.A.T. TE is designed to appeal to the e-sports professionals and engineered for mobility, performance and precision. The weight has been reduced while speed and resolution are drastically improved, mostly thanks to a newly developed Phillips Doppler-laser sensor for up to 8200 DPI. It also comes with programmable button mapping, customizable attributes as "Lift-Off" height calibration and dynamic surface detection which should appeal to professional gamers.

"We launched our original R.A.T. line of gaming mice four years ago, and we're pleased to continue expanding this highly successful range with the announcement of the Tournament Edition model," said Darren Richardson, the President and Chief Executive Officer of Mad Catz. "The R.A.T. TE is another example of our ongoing commitment to building high performance hardware for the passionate gaming community."

Unfortunately, Mad Catz did not reveal any precise price or availability details regarding the new R.A.T. TE gaming mouse other than it is expected to ship in early 2014 for PC and Mac.
