Teamgroup's breaks Super Pi 32M world record

With Project X series memory module

Teamgroup has announced that it managed to break the Super Pi 32M (air cooling) world record in cooperation with HKEPC OC Lab in Hong Kong and set it at 4min 38sec 329ms.

The new Super Pi 32M world record was broken thanks to a new memory module under the codename ProjectX, designed solely for overclocking performance and stability. The new module is a part of TeamGroup Xtreme Series DDR3-2400 4GBx2 kit with Samsung's DDR3 ICs.

The rest of the overclocking testbed included ASRock's Z87M-OC Formula motherboard and Intel's Core i7-4770K CPU overclocked to 6.637GHz with LN2 cooling. The memory ended up working at 2860MHz with CL 9-12-12-17 1T latencies and ran the Super Pi 32M at 4min 38sec and 329ms.

Unfortunately, TeamGroup's ProjectX memory module will never hit retail/e-tail and its main function is to study and analyze features of memory ICs, modules, coolers in order to make impressive new kits in the future.
