EVGA unveils its Z97-based motherboard lineup

With Classified, FTW and Stinger

EVGA has now officially unveiled its full upcoming motherboard lineup based on Intel's new Z97 Express chipset which will include the EATX form-factor Z97 Classified, the standard ATX Z97 FTW and the mini-ITX EVGA Z97 Stinger Core3D motherboards.

The list starts off with the flagship EVGA Z97 Classified E-ATX motherboard which packs an 8-phase VRM part, four DDR3 memory slots, five PCI-Express x16 slots, eight SATA 6.0Gbps ports, one mSATA/mPCI slot, dual Intel Gigabit Ethernet, 5.1-channel Creative Sound Core 3D audio, couple of USB 3.0 ports, dual mini DisplayPort outputs, Triple BIOS feature, debug LED, Power, Reset and Clear CMOS on board buttons, voltage read points and support for LucidLogix's Virtu MVP 2.0. Unfortunately, it appears that this first line of EVGA motherboards will lack SATA Express but will surely be an overclockers dream.

The next in line is the standard ATX EVGA Z97 FTW motherboard which has a 6-phase VRM and four PCI-Express 16 slots. The rest of the specifications include four DDR3 memory slots, eight SATA 6.0Gbps ports, 7.1-channel Realtek ALC889 audio, M.2 slot, Intel Gigabit Ethernet, four USB 3.0 ports, HDMI and DisplayPort outputs, Dual BIOS, voltage read points, PCI-E disable switches and much more.

The last, but also quite an interesting motherboard, is the mini-ITX EVGA Z97 Stinger Core3D which will pack two DDR3 slot, 6-phase VRM, 10-layer PCB, single PCI-Express x16 slot, Intel Gigabit Ethernet, four SATA 6Gbps ports, 5.1-channel Creative Soure Core3D audio, four USB 3.0 ports, one eSATA port and HDMI and DisplayPort outputs.

Currently, only the EVGA Z97 Classified and the Z97 FTW are up for pre-order with a price set at US $379.99 and US $199.99, respectively. The mini-ITX EVGA Z97 Stinger Core3D is priced at US $199.99 but still not available for pre-order.
