Apple buying Beats Audio for US $3.2 billion

All your sound belongs to us

According to a report from the Financial Times, Apple is close to completing the deal which will let it acquire Beats Audio for US $3.2 billion while the official announcement could come as early as next week.

According to the same report, the deal will include both the audio streaming service as well as the hardware business from Beats Audio. If proved to be true, the acquisition of the Beats Audio will be the biggest Apple acquisition to date.

The deal is rather interesting since back in 2011, HTC bought 50.1 percent of Beats Audio audio brand for US $300 million but Beats Audio bought back the HTC share of the company in September last year.

In any case sounds like a great buy for the Cupertino company as it might be yet another edge over competition.
