Conclusion

General   + -
The Cooltek Coolcube Maxi is a mini cube case designed for those that like an elegant and a classic design. Contrary to what you might think, the Coolcube Maxi is not an inaccessible case or difficult to assemble because of its small size. The build quality is excellent and materials are pleasant to the touch. The interior space is more than enough and you will be able to use up to three standard HDDs and one 2.5-inch SSD/HDD. Despite that there are three slots for 80mm fans, the bundle only includes screws and zip-ties.   - Design

Manufacturing quality / Ergonomics   + -
The Cooltek Coolcube Maxi is made of black aluminum with excellent quality, both internally and externally. The sidepanels are pretty light, but we did not observe any sharp edges or bad finish. The mounting process was easy and very simple, we have not found anything to report and, paradoxically, we had more difficulty with the few other ATX cases. Despite the small size of the case, it is able to accommodate up to three 3.5" HDD and one 2.5" HDDs/SSDs. In addition, there is enough space for a tower cooler of small size and a standard ATX PSU.   - Aluminum - ATX PSU - Not tool-less

Design / Layout   + -
The design is clean and simple and the lines of Cooltek Coolcube Maxi are definitely timeless. Even the space inside is done in a very good way. Regarding the cooling, there are three spots for 80mm fans that are not included in the bundle. Since this case is mostly designed for an HTPC/Media Server, we would have liked to see a 5.25" slot or a slot-in for an optical drive.   - Design

Recommendation   + -
If you are looking for a small PC case with a very clean and elegant design and, at the same time, a very good quality, then Cooltek Coolcube Maxi is definitely worth considering. This model is available in two different colors, black or silver, and could be a very good solution for an HTPC or a media server. At Geizhals, the Coolcube Maxi is listed for 66 euro.   - Office
