Conclusion

With the H5O, Corsair presents a powerful compact watercooling solution which is also well manufactured. When the standard fan is mounted you get an good cooling capacity which easily keeps even todays hottest CPUs at adequate temperatures. Unfortunately Corsair wants quite a lot of money for their product.

Reflecting the mounting process, Corsair comes up with a solution which is suitable for this good cooler. By using two different backplates, which have holes in different positions for the divers sockets available on the market, it is possible to mount the cooler quickly and tight on all the recent sockets. Furthermore two fans can be installed on the cooler.

If you drive the fan with 12 volts it is subjectively noisy. As we drove the fan at 5 Volts, with 900 rotations per minute resulting, we could see that the performance decreased but it still is an a very good level. If you drive the fan at 900 rpm it is subjectively audible.

With the H5O Corsair designed a compact watercooling system which is able to convice. The delivered fan could be a bit more silent but at the end of the day the H5O is a solid performer. We recommend the H5O to customers which need good cooling capacity, which aren't looking for an absolutely silent product and for which the price doesn't come first.

You can buy the Corsair H5O at Digitec.ch to a price of CHF 113.- (EUR 81.-).
