Conclusion

With the Memory Freezer it is possible to chill Corsair Dominator memory using liquid nitrogen or dry ice. Only a few degrees less can make a big difference which is exactly why we decided to build the memory freezer. Installing it is easy an it can be used with either Triple-, Dual- or Single Channel memory.

Using the memory freezer you shouldn't be mean with isolation because this could end in a small disaster. We configured the memory with 1.8 VDimm and very tight 5-7-7-21-T1 timgins. Therefore we reached a memory clock of 1968 MHz at -65°C. One can clearly see that at -70°C the maximum memory clock starts to decrease and the memory doesn't scale positively anymore. In the end we saw a 21 percent increase clockwise which is an astonishing result.

The Memory-Freezer is available in limited numbers at Marc (Besi) Voser www.ocaholic.ch to a price of CHF 121.- (est EUR 85.-)
