Lucid HydraLogix

The Hydra 200 chip is a PCIe contoller like the NF200 from nVidia, but it has a little processor that can execute instructions. Thanks to the drivers, the chip can spread graphics tasks to the different GPUs. That's why it  is able to operate with graphics cards from different manufacturers.

  • CrossLinx N-Mode

As we can see, the SLI mode performs better than the CrossLinx N-Mode in all the games tested. On the other hand the N-Mode performs better than nvidia SLI for futuremark benchmarks. Regarding the 3x CrossLinx N-Mode it performs worse than the 2x Crosslinx for non-optimized games. In World in Conflict do you see almost no performance scaling at all.

  • CrossLinx A-Mode

  • CrossLinx X-Mode

Mixing NVIDIA and ATI is finally performing well, but as said before only on benchmarks and optimised games. Like other CrossLinx Mode, we recommend using the Hydra Engine for two graphics cards having the best one plugged to the monitor. Unfortunately having one ATI card and two NVIDIA card affects the performance very negatively.
