With the XLR8 Express 120 Gigabyte, Extrememory has quite an interesting product in its portfolio. The SSD comes with a SandForce SF-2281 Controller. It has furthermore been equipped with Toogle NAND flash memory. Most of the competitors use NAND flash that comes with an interface according to ONFi standard.

With the XLR8 Express 120 Gigabyte, Extrememory has an SATA-III SSD in its portfolio that is based on the latest SandForce SF-2281 controller and makes use of synchronous NAND Flash. This has the consequence that you will get as much performance out of the controller as possible. On the other hand the synchronous NAND flash is more expensive then asynchronous memory chips. Delivery

The test sample that reached our office arrived in a very small box. As you'd already expect from a first look the there is only a 2.5-to-3.5-inch adapter bracket included in the delivery. You wont find any cloning software like for example Acronis Disk Image or Norton Ghost.
