That's half the speed of Thunderbolt 3, which is USB's better competitor.

AMD Z490 and Intel Z390 chipsets

A big treasure of information just appeared on Bluechip's (a German PC OEM) website. During a webinar, the German PC OEM has shown several slides about upcoming Intel and AMD chipsets. According to the pictures, AMD should release a Z490 chipset and Intel will add Z390 chipset as well.


There is no big change in terms of temperature

A few days ago the well-known overclocker der8auer has delidded AMD's latest Ryzen CPU. After having run several benchmarks he concluded that delidding offers no meaningful temperature decreases or overclocking benefits at least when using a traditional CPU coolers.

According to the Commision, several Japanese capacitor manufacturers have created a cartel association and price manipulation between the 1998 and 2012. The European Commission has issued a total of €254 million fine.

Up to 20 Gbps transfer speed

The USB Implementers Forum (USB-IF) has released the specifications for USB 3.2. The new standard is supposed to allow for up to 20 Gbps (gigabits per second, not gigabytes per second) transfer speeds, thanks to two more sets of SuperSpeed pins. In order to get those speeds you need a USB Type-C connector.
