NVIDIA unveils RTX 2070 graphics card too

Not yet available

With the launch of the RTX 2080 and the RTX 2080 Ti graphics cards, NVIDIA has presented their upcoming high-end offerings. As we already mentioned this has been a rather strange launch and adding to that the green fraction has also showcased a cheaper model; the RTX 2070 für $499 US.

Apparently the GeForce RTX 2070 is going to be the successor of the GeForce GTX 1070 which was definitely one of the better selling cards NVIDIA ever produced. According to NVIDIA, the RTX 2070 will become available somewhen in October. At the moment the card can’t be for pre-ordered and vendors are currently only pushing their 2080 and 2080 Ti models.

Following the performance numbers leaked on the YouTube channel AdoredTV, the RTX 2070 might be up to 40% faster than the GTX 1070 and 17% quicker than the GTX 1080. Things are starting to get interesting when looking at the TDP figures. While the GTX 1070 came with a TDP rating of 150 Watt the new RTX 2070 come with 180 Watts TDP, which puts in the same ballpark as the GeForce GTX 1080, which also has a 1080 Watts TDP rating.
