Gigabyte shows the GA-AX370-Gaming 5 motherboard

One of the six Aorus socket AM4 motherboards

Aorus, which is a subdivision of Gigabyte, showcased their GA-AX370-Gaming 5 motherboard during yesterday’s Meet the Experts event that was hosted by AMD. Gigabyte didn't show any close-up shots but they were talking about the features. The new Aorus series will consist of at least six X370 based models and apart from that there will also be B350 and A320 chipset based boards.

Judging by the screw holes this is an ATX form factor motherboard. The color scheme is the same that we can find on Z270 based motherboards from Gigabyte, which in this case is a black PCB with silver heatsink and a big white I/O cover.

There are three PCIe Gen 3.0 slots with steel reinforcements. Between the first and the second full-sized PCIe slot there are two slots distance providing plenty of space for graphics cards to breathe in the case of multi-GPU setups. Furthermore there is one M.2 slot placed between the first and the second PCIe slot, which is compatible with 110 millimeters M.2 SSDs. In addition there are four SATA ports, two SATA Express ports and a U.2 connector. Since this model should be the one overclockers might consider using, there are also onboard buttons and a debug display.

Going a step further we find a Killer LAN E2500 chip, Gigabyte’s AMP-UP Audio solution and the so called Fusion RGB lighting, which can be controlled from within Windows.
