AMD motherboards during Meet the Expert event?

AMD Ryzen launch is pretty close

AMD has announced they’re going to hold a new Webinar event that will take place on February 22nd. This event is going to be streamed through Adobe Connect Meeting Room, while the host is Eric Allen, Channel Marketing Specialist for AMD. According to latest reports, it looks like AMD will show AM4-based motherboards from ASRock and Biostar during the event.

It appears that during the Webinar AMD is going to present a selection of socket AM4 based motherboards. Most likely they will focus on models using the X370 chipset, which is the upcoming flagship model providing overclocking features and two PCIe 3.0 x16 slots for SLI or Crossfire setups. According the latest rumors, this time we might also see the first mini-ITX models.

As we already mentioned a few times, the X370 chipset is followed by the B350 and then the A320. While the first addresses the mid-range market the latter targets the entry-level segment. As a result of that the B350 chipset still allows for overclocking while the A320 doesn’t. All the new chipsets feature native M.2 NVMe support, SATA Express, PCIe 3.0, DDR4 memory and USB 3.1 ports.

The Webinar event will take place in seven days, while the NDA on the new Ryzen chips should be lifted by February 28th. Apparently we’re pretty curious to see what Ryzen will be capable of and that the new socket AM4 based boards will look like.

During the Webinar we might see more news about:
  • ASROCK X370 FATAL1TY PROFESSIONAL GAMING
  • ASROCK X370 TAICHI
