AMD 5 1600X tested with Cinebench benchmark

Almost as fast as an Intel Core i7-6850K

Another set of benchmarks on AMD’s Ryzen CPUs has hit the surface. This time it looks like the hexa-core AMD 5 1600X has been tested. According to the latest rumors, this model should features 6 core, 12 thread and a TDP of 95W. The Ryzen 5 1600X should belong to the "Black Edition" series with a street price of $259 US.

The new results are based on the Cinebench R15 benchmark. Before looking at the numbers a few things need to be clarified. First of all we don't know which AMD setup has been used and furthermore there aren't any details on the memory speeds. According to these new results, the AMD 5 1600X at stock clocks is almost on par with the Intel’s Core i7-6850K. In other words, also these new tests confirm what we’ve seen from past rumors.

Furthermore there are two new results, which have been gathered with the same AMD 5 Ryzen 1600X. This time we see an AMD Ryzen CPU tested with CPU-Z’s integrated benchmark with both the single and multithreaded routine. If the results from the AMD CPU are correct, then it could be that it sits right between the Intel Core i7-6850K and the Intel Core i7-5820K, according to our own tests.
