EVGA shows FTW and SC GeForce GTX 1080 Ti GPUs

Available in May

A few days ago, EVGA has shown a little teaser about one of the new GTX 1080 Ti custom based on the new flagship chip - GP102 - from NVIDIA. While there are still no details available regarding the clock speeds, there is more information about the EVGA lineup in general. The new series will include the GeForce GTX 1080 Ti FTW3, the GeForce GTX 1080 Ti SC2 and the GeForce GTX 1080 Ti SC Black Edition.

The GeForce GTX 1080 Ti SC Black Edition and the GeForce GTX 1080 Ti SC2 graphics card will feature a dual-fan cooler with the so called iCX Technology, while the GeForce GTX 1080 Ti FTW3 will be based on triple-fan design. All models come with a heat sink that boasts a dense aluminum fin stack and several heatpipes. The metal shroud has received a grey paint job on two models, while the "Black Edition" is apparently black. Looking at the pictures it’s not clear if all the cards will feature backplates or not. Only in the case of the EVGA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti FTW3 we’re sure that the back side is going to be covered with a nice backplate.

While the GTX 1080 Ti Founders Edition works at 1480MHz/1582MHz Core/Boost frequencies, we are quite sure that all three models will come with a decent factory OC. Since the latest enthusiast grade EVGA components have been equipped with an armada of LEDs for RGB lighting, this cards are no different and come with RGB LEDs on both sides. According to a post on OCUK's forum, all cards will become available during May.
