Biostar showcases Racing X299 GT9 motherboard

The first Biostar X299 motherboard

During Computex 2017, one upcoming Biostar X299 motherboard has been pictured by our friends from Guru3D. This time Biostar has unveiled the Racing X299 GT9 which is based on an E-ATX form factor, comes with eight DDR4 DIMM slots and several M.2 slots. Due to the name of this board, we believe that it might be the new flagship model from Biostar.

The Biostar Racing X299 GT9 comes with eight DDR4 DIMM slots and it's based on an E-ATX form factor. There are seven PCI-Express 3.0 x16 slots with metal reinforcements. Storage wise there are two M.2 slots, two U.2 ports and four angled SATA 6 ports. Furthermore we also see several USB headers and a debug display which can be always useful. In addition to the surprising seven full-sized PCI-Express 3.0 slots, there are also two ethernet ports. While the first is based on the more common Intel i219-V chip, the second one features a more expensive Intel X550AT chip.

The mainboard gets the power from two 8-pin EPS power connectors and an extra 6-pin PCIe connector placed right above the first PCI-Express 3.0 x16 slot. At the moment we have only one picture available but we might add more during the next days. The full list of specifications as well as detailed pictures can most likely be expected to surface during the upcoming weeks, since by then the NDA is supposed to be lifted.
