LG launches 32UD99-W display

LG has expanded its gaming monitor lineup with a 4K 31.5-inch monitor. The 32UD99 features an IPS panel with 95% of DCI-P3 colour space, therefore it is suitable for professional use. Apart from that the new display is compatible with AMD FreeSync. The LG 32UD99 should become available on July 28th.


As we mentioned the LG 32UD99 monitor will come with a 31.5-inch panel and 3840 x 2160 Pixel resolution. It is also support USB Type-C which can be used to display 4K content or charge a connected devices even as big as notebooks. LG is making use of an IPS panel which is HDR10 capable and suitable for professional use. Furthermore there is support for AMD’s FreeSync technology and for the response time the vendor mentions 1ms. LG claims the display features a wide colour space and increased brightness compared to traditional LCD displays and this should make the 32UD99 suitable for professionals such as photo and video editors as well.

A quick look at the connectors reveals two HDMI and one DisplayPort 1.2a connector. On top of that there is a very well-built slim frame and the stand allows for several adjustment. According to LG, shipping of this display is going to start July 28 and the suggested retail price is $1'100 US.
