Gigabyte confirms GTX 1070 Ti

On a Facebook post

A few days ago, we have posted a rumor from the Chinese website Mydrivers showing a picture of an alleged GTX 1070Ti STRIX O8G. Although this could have also just been a typo, it looks like NVIDIA is working on a GTX 1070 Ti in order to respond to AMD's RX Vega 56. Meanwhile Gigabyte have confirmed via Facebook that such a card is really in the works.

According to an educated guess from the guys over at Mydrivers, the upcoming GTX 1070 Ti could make use of a total of 2304 CUDA cores, which would position the upcoming card between the GTX 1070, which sports 1920 cuda cores, and the GTX 1080 with its 2560 cores. This way, the alleged upcoming NVIDIA graphics card should be as fast as the Vega 56 from AMD. In addition the graphics card is supposed to be equipped with 8GB of VRAM although it's still unclear if it's going to be equipped with GDDR5 or GDDR5X memory.

At the moment there isn’t any additional information on this subject but we’ll certainly keep an eye on these developments.
