Intel Core i3-7360X spotted

First Core i3 on HEDT

The acclaimed launch date of Coffee Lake based CPUs is somewhen next month, however Intel is also working on adding new Kaby Lake-X processors to their line-up. According to a rumor on Videocardz, Intel might release the first dual-core Core i3, which is compatible with X299 motherboards. The i3-7360X is basically the same CPU as the i3-7350K but for Intel’s HEDT platform.



According to first information, the upcoming Intel Core i3-7360X packs a base clock of 4.0GHz with a Turbo speed of 4.30GHz. Apart from that there is a TDP of 112W, which is 86% more than what you get with the Core i3-7350K. If this information is correct, the Core i3-7360X could be the first dual-core CPU available on the HEDT platform.

When it comes to pricing there are rumors that the Core i3-7360X could cost 1699 Yuans ($220 USD), which would be the same as Core i5 processors for the LGA1151 platform.
