GEIL launches EVO X RGB memory

With ASUS ROG Certification

GEIL is updating their RGB EVO X memory lineup. Memory modules were basically the very last components lacking support for RGB lighting. The reason for that was that a solution had to be found to control the sticks over the SMBus. Nevertheless GEIL has chosen a different approach, using a 4-pin RGB connector, which means the memory has to wired to the motherboard.

According to GEIL, all their upcoming memory kits are compatible with ASUS ROG based motherboards. The lighting is controlled through a 4-pin RGB header and the software allows the user to change the settings with just a few clicks. On the GEIL EVO X RGB there are several options that can be selected, such as a base color, the response time of the lighting bar and the modules color can be linked to your system’s temperature.

The EVO X RGB DDR4 modules are available with DDR4-3000 and CL15-17-17-35 timings. There are 8 GB, 16 GB and 32 GB kits. All kits are available with white or black heatspreader. So far GEIL has not revealed any details on pricing and availability, but we're sure those kits are soon going to surface in the different price comparison portals all around the globe.
