Be quiet! unveils Dark Base 700

With modular design

A few months ago be quiet! announced their Base Pro 900. Meanwhile, after having released the flagship model, be quiet! is coming up with the Dark Base 700, which is a rather small mid-tower chassis that's been made from SECC steel and aluminium.

The Dark Base 700 measures 544 x 241 x 519mm with a net weight of 13Kg and classifies as a mid-tower. The case comes with a simple and sleek design and there are no doors or special air-vents on this model. Everything is kept in a classic and clean way.

On the inside there is space for ATX, micro-ATX or mini-ITX motherboard. Cooling wise there is space for two big radiators (360mm) that could be mounted inthe front or in the top. There is also enough space for high-end tower coolers, which can measure up to 180mm in height.

The internal layout is quite simple and straightforward. You can install up to seven HDDs or seventeen 2.5" SSDs. Furthermore there are two pre-installed Silent Wings 3 fans measuring 140mm in diameter. What's nice to see is that there is even a little fan controller to manually adjust rotation speeds.

The Dark Base 700 should already be available at local retailers for a suggested price of 189 Euro.
