Patriot launches Viper LED DDR4 memory

Optimized for both AMD and Intel platforms

Patriot has announced their Viper LED memory kit, which has been designed and tested in combination with Intel Coffee Lake and AMD Ryzen processors. When a new CPU architecture hits the market memory vendors usually conduct extensive stability tests before launching their kits and Patriot is certainly no exception in that regard.

These new memory modules are designed for both Intel and AMD platforms and are available in both 4GB and 8GB memory modules. The lineup includes kits with up to 16GB of capacity and with speeds ranging from DDR4-2400 all the way up to DDR4-3600. Each module features a 10-layer PCB covered with a black aluminum heat spreaders that has been equipped with an integrated LED lighting strip. At the moment this strips are available only in white or red color and doesn't feature any RGB functionality.

Furthermore the LED choice is limited by the speed of the memory. For example, the DDR4-3000MHz CL15-17-17-35 kit is available with red LED bar, while the DDR4-3600MHz CL16-18-18-36 kit is available only with white LED lighting. So far the vendor has not revealed any details on pricing and availability, but we're sure those kits will soon surface in different price comparison portals.
