240Hz and 1ms

BenQ Zowie already has a wide portfolio of displays and with the XL2740 the vendor is launching yet another FullHD model. The 27-inch panel supports 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution 240Hz refresh rate, which makes this particular display relevant for playing fast first person shooters.

As we already mentioned the XL2740 monitor has been equipped with a 27-inch panel and 1920 x 1080 Pixel resolution with a refresh rate of up to 240Hz. The TN panel comes with a contrast ratio of 1000:1 and 320 cd/m2 brightness. BenQ Zowie is marketing this display as a gaming monitor and one of the features that supposed to help gamers is monitor shield, which is supposed to increase the focus of a gamer. Furthermore the display comes with a S-Switch that can be used for changing between different pre-configured profiles.

A quick look at the connectors reveals one HDMI 2.0, one DVI-D and one DisplayPort 1.2 connector. On top of that there is a very well-built slim frame and the stand allows for pan, tilt, swivel and height adjustment. So far BenQ Zowie has not revealed details on pricing and availability regarding their XL2740 eSports monitor but we are sure we will know more during upcoming weeks.
